Belgica is a metro station on line 6 (formerly line 1A west) of the Brussels metro. The stop straddles the communes of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean and Jette. The Belgica station is named after the ship that, in 1897, transported the first Belgian polar expedition to Antarctica. In partnership with the International Polar Foundation, the STIB decided to decorate the Belgica metro station in the colors of the Poles.
